HARTLEY PARK FUN WEEKEND RAISES LOADS OF CASH FOR CHARITY

A good time was had by all at the Charity Fun Event last weekend at Hartley Park Farm, and over £1000 was raised for The Rosemary Foundation and Naomi House. With the weekend blessed with warm sunshine, the Event was well attended with Mums & Dads and kids all having plenty to keep them happy and occupied.

The Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Petting Farm, Motorised Mini Tractors and Skittles were all popular attractions with the children, whilst the Welly Throwing and Rifle Shooting brought out the competitive spirit amongst the adults. Simon Hoskins of Avington won the Welly Throwing with a massive throw of 30 metres. The shooting range was provided courtesy of DirectSafe – Pest Control.

There was also wine and cheese tasting and the Treasure Hunt proved popular with those using their tickets on the quest to win the big money prizes on offer. Those visiting on the Sunday would have had the bonus of ‘New Tricks’ Dog Display.

Anyone doing a spot of early Christmas shopping might have picked up a bargain from craft and book stalls or some of the Hartley Business Park Businesses or Industries on Site. The Lavender Fields shop was doing a good trade in its unique lavender ice-cream as well as selling many lavender gifts and products.

The Prize Draw had donations of over 30 prizes from generous Businesses from Selborne, Alton, Alresford and Petersfield, and winners from both the Draw and the Treasure Hunt will be informed during the next couple of weeks and posted on this web site.

In these recession hit times, everyone agreed that this event was excellent value for money, with the all-inclusive entrance fee covering all attractions on site, and kids being able to take part in whatever they liked, with as many go’s as they wanted without Mum or Dad’s pocket being stretched further. Most of all, two very worthy charitable causes have had their coffers raised a bit further.

Hartley Business Park at the Farm is home to a wide ranging mix of unique small businesses and industries where you will find great products and gifts for sale.
